Positive change

Recognising the catalyst for positive change is a contemplative process. Was it a single moment or a series of events, one person or a collective influence? Perhaps the messenger wasn’t the one the universe had in mind or encouragement came from a surprising source. Maybe opportunity arrived unexpectedly and a path forward emerged that hadn’t been clear before.

Sometimes it’s hard not to see the hands of fate at every turn, that part of the human condition that leads us to have faith in the power of providence. But surely change happens by design – our own – and not by accident. It needs to be actively embraced, even if the process is gradual or at times imperceptible. It takes a shift in outlook, an investment of effort and desire for long-term gains.

And success doesn’t exist in silo. Could the most important outcome of change be finding your place as an individual in a symbiotic ecosystem? Welcoming advice, accepting help, sharing achievements, connecting with others and somehow finding yourself. Is it too sentimental to think that fundamentally we all seek community and mutual support?

SaltBaked was born from a chance conversation with an understated yet deeply passionate individual dedicated to their craft and their own creative business. He led us to realise that there was a gap in the market for content production, that dormant talent could be reignited, grow and thrive with hard work and self-belief.

It was propelled forward by a unique personality, a true social philanthropist whose investment in people is a profound part of their life approach and something we’ve witnessed only once before. Someone who takes joy in championing others and, by enabling them to be productive and achieve, allows them to find their own fuel.

Transformation can be unanticipated – almost unwanted at times – but when people around you start reflecting it back, or asking how they can achieve the same effect, then there must be something to be proud of. SaltBaked sits within this mental space and will always be mindful of the potential for – and of – positive change.
